🏙️🚧 NYC SKYSCRAPER TO BE LIFTED SIX INCHES AFTER STRUCTURAL FAILURE: Crews are reportedly preparing to raise damaged floors at the former Pfizer headquarters at 235 East 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan by approximately six inches after two support columns buckled in July, causing several floors to sag. The building is undergoing a massive conversion into more than 1,500 apartments. The cause of the structural failure remains under investigation. City inspectors reportedly also examined 180 construction sites connected to the project team, issuing 19 stop-work orders and 65 violations, but found no immediate structural dangers at those locations.
