A Brighton Beach man is under arrest and facing multiple charges after police said he repeatedly punched a well-known Hasidic rabbi outside the rabbi’s Boro Park home Wednesday night. Police said 31-year-old Eric Avrutov approached the 66-year-old victim in front of 375 Dahill Road at about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday and struck him repeatedly in the face and body with a closed fist. Surveillance video from the scene captured the attack, showing the suspect repeatedly beating the rabbi. Police arrived at the scene very quickly and apprehended Avrutov, who was arrested a short time later.
