AG Todd Blanche is defending the federal raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar's home, pushing back on criticism that the search came too close to Election Day. Blanche insists the DOJ's so-called 60-day rule is a practice, not a formal rule, and says the department acted in accordance with the Justice Manual. "When we have to execute a search warrant or an arrest, if there's a crime that occurs, we take into consideration the purpose and making sure the purpose is proper, which is what the Justice Manual requires. And that's what we did then. And that's what we do in every case."
