Italy has temporarily reinstated border checks on travelers arriving from Spain by air and sea for one month following the recent migration crisis in Ceuta. Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said the measures are intended to monitor the movement of non-EU nationals within the Schengen Area and help prevent secondary migration into Italy.
