Gov. Kathy Hochul says she plans to join Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at multiple campaign events across New York ahead of the November election, as AOC kicks off a statewide tour Thursday in Buffalo. "I will be with her at different events," Hochul told WNYC, adding, "I think she brings a lot of energy to the process, engages young people in particular... I have asked her and others to go statewide to create the momentum we need." The announcement comes as Hochul faces Republican Bruce Blakeman, with a new Siena poll showing her leading 50%-41% among likely voters — down slightly from her 10-point margin in August.
