One of Israel’s top Haredi rabbis said it would have been better if Arabs had ruled Israel and blamed Zionism for bringing “physical disasters” upon the Jewish people, according to newly surfaced footage obtained and published Monday by N12. Rabbi Dov Lando, the 96-year-old spiritual leader of Israel’s Lithuanian Haredi community, made the comments during a private discussion with rabbis at his Bnei Brak home during the war. “It would have been quite good if the Arabs ruled here today,” Lando said, adding that it also would have been preferable if the United Nations had ruled the area.
