REPORT: President Trump is reportedly considering authorizing periodic U.S. strikes on Iranian radar, air-defense and anti-ship missile systems around the Strait of Hormuz to prevent Tehran from rebuilding capabilities that threaten shipping, Axios reports. The CENTCOM plan, reportedly backed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, has not yet been approved. The proposal comes as the U.S. and Iran continue to trade fire in the region — CENTCOM struck Iranian mine-laying launchers near the strait overnight, and Iran retaliated with strikes on U.S. bases in Jordan, extending a pattern of exchanges that has persisted since the war began in February.
