⚖️ FEDERAL JUDGE OVERSEEING NICOLÁS MADURO CASE DIES AT 92 — U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, who was overseeing the federal prosecution of ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in New York, died Wednesday at age 92. Appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1998, Hellerstein also handled major cases involving President Trump and the September 11 attacks. He presided over a hearing in Maduro’s case just two weeks ago. A replacement judge will be assigned to oversee the ongoing prosecution.
