Russia has released American military veteran Robert Gilman after more than four years in prison, with the State Department saying he was freed on humanitarian grounds without a prisoner exchange or U.S. concessions. Gilman, 32, was reportedly gravely ill following his detention and is now headed to a U.S. military hospital in Texas for medical and psychological treatment.
