🇫🇷 MACRON BLAMES ULTRA-LEFT GROUPS FOR FRANCE RIOTS, ANNOUNCES NEW PROTEST BANS: French President Emmanuel Macron announced Thursday that authorities will ban demonstrations deemed unauthorized or illegitimate in the coming days, following widespread rioting, looting, and destruction across France. Macron accused “seditious” ultra-left groups of attempting to overthrow the Republic during last Saturday’s unrest. Protests organized by recognized trade unions will still be permitted, although authorities may change their routes to protect businesses and public buildings. All demonstrations planned for Saturday in Lyon have been banned as officials brace for further unrest.
