✈️ HISTORIC LANDING IN LOWER MANHATTAN: A hybrid-electric fixed-wing aircraft made history Monday, by successfully landing and taking off at Downtown Skyport, a Lower Manhattan heliport normally used by helicopters. The demonstration is believed to be the first of its kind at the facility. The two-seat test aircraft can operate in extremely short spaces, paving the way for Electra's planned nine-passenger commercial plane, which could eventually connect cities without requiring traditional airport runways.
