🇺🇸⚖️ HOUSE GOP TO VOTE ON AMENDMENT CAPPING SUPREME COURT AT NINE JUSTICES: Speaker Mike Johnson announced that House Republicans will bring H.J. Res. 1 to the floor Wednesday, proposing a constitutional amendment that would permanently limit the U.S. Supreme Court to nine justices and prevent future efforts to expand the Court. Johnson said Republicans want Democrats to “put their money where their mouth is” on court packing. The measure will be considered under suspension of the rules, requiring a two-thirds House vote; a constitutional amendment must ultimately win two-thirds support in both chambers of Congress and be ratified by three-fourths of the states
