🚸 NYC SLOW DOWN: HUNDREDS OF 15 MPH SCHOOL ZONES COMING: NYC DOT says 15 mph School Slow Zones have already been installed at more than 200 school locations across the five boroughs, with roughly 800 expected to be in place by the end of 2026. The expansion is part of Sammy’s Law and will lower speed limits around schools while the city also adds safety measures such as redesigned intersections, speed humps and Open Street gates.
