Jewish billionaire Stuart Zimmer has resumed his $100 million gift to Harvard University after suspending the pledge over the university’s handling of antisemitism following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack. According to The Wall Street Journal, Zimmer was encouraged by changes under Harvard President Alan Garber, including stronger anti-discrimination and campus-protest policies, institutional neutrality and expanded support for Jewish students. The renewed gift will help expand kosher dining, while Harvard’s Science Center will be named after Zimmer’s late father.
