New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's office is disputing former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel's account of a private meeting in which he said he confronted the mayor over the slogan "from the river to the sea." Speaking on the podcast Unholy, Emanuel said he met with Mamdani for about 90 minutes and challenged him over the phrase, which many Jewish groups view as a call for the elimination of Israel. Anna Bahr, Mamdani's communications director, rejected Emanuel's version of events, saying, "Can confirm this did not happen."
