🏦 WARSH DEFENDS FED INDEPENDENCE: Asked about President Trump reportedly threatening trade action against countries unless interest rates were lowered, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh said, “I’m not a Wall Street newsletter,” adding that the Fed must “stay in our lane.” Warsh said independence is a “two-way street,” with the Fed focused on monetary policy while trade and fiscal policy remain the responsibility of elected officials.
