🧬 AI-DESIGNED LUNG DRUG SHOWS POSSIBLE ANTI-AGING EFFECT: Insilico Medicine’s rentosertib, an experimental drug developed with AI for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, reduced predicted biological age across six independent protein-based “aging clocks” in an analysis of 42 patients after 12 weeks of treatment, with some measures showing roughly 3–6 years of reversal. The findings, published in Nature Biotechnology, are preliminary: the study was small, involved only people with lung disease, and researchers cannot yet determine whether the apparent effect reflects broader anti-aging activity or simply improvements from treating the disease. Experts told The New York Times that trials in healthy people would be needed to test that question.
