🛒 FTC DEMANDS PERSONALIZED PRICING DATA FROM WALMART, TARGET, UBER AND MAJOR AIRLINES — The Federal Trade Commission has ordered nine major companies, including Walmart, Target, Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Delta, United and JetBlue, to provide information on whether they use customers’ personal data, including browsing history, location and income, to set individualized prices or worker compensation. According to Reuters and the FTC, the investigation will examine whether consumers are charged different prices for the same goods or services based on their personal information. Companies have 45 days to respond. The requests are part of an FTC study and do not indicate that any company has violated the law.
