WATCH: Newly declassified video obtained by 60 Minutes shows the rescue of two U.S. Air Force officers, call signs “Alpha” and “Bravo,” after their F-15E was shot down over Iran in April. The two landed about five miles apart in mountainous terrain south of Isfahan as Iranian forces hunted for them. Alpha was rescued eight hours after ejecting in a risky daylight mission involving 21 U.S. aircraft. Bravo remained behind enemy lines for roughly two days despite a broken back and other injuries, climbing a 7,000-foot ridgeline before Air Force pararescuers reached him and brought him to a U.S. helicopter.
