BESSENT: U.S. WILL “ECONOMICALLY SUFFOCATE" IRAN: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the world has had enough of Iran's "evil" and repressive regime after 47 years, while praising the Iranian people. Bessent said Washington intends to economically suffocate Tehran, describing Iran as being in the "jaws of economic death" as its currency collapses and oil exports are squeezed. He said change could come from within the regime or from the Iranian people themselves.
