A failed asylum seeker who tried to climb the fence of the Israeli Embassy in London while carrying two knives was sentenced Monday to life in prison, with a minimum term of 20 years. Abdullah Sabah Albadri, 34, a Kuwait-born man of no fixed address, was convicted at the Old Bailey of preparing terrorist acts under the Terrorism Act 2006 and of possessing two bladed articles. Mrs. Justice Lambert imposed the life sentence on the terrorism count and a concurrent term of one year and six months on the knife offenses. The court adjusted the minimum term to account for time already served on remand.
