UPDATE: BINANCE REPLACES 90% OF ASSETS STOLEN IN RECORD $6.3 BILLION HACK: Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced Saturday, October 31, that it has replenished approximately 90% of the assets stolen in Thursday’s massive cyberattack, which the FBI attributed to North Korea’s TraderTraitor hacking group. Binance says it has set aside more than $6.34 billion, using company funds and emergency reserves to cover customer losses. The remaining 10% involves less-liquid cryptocurrencies that may take longer to replace. Binance says customers will not bear the losses, and withdrawals are expected to resume Sunday, November 1.
