💉 FDA APPROVES UPDATED COVID VACCINES: The FDA on Thursday approved updated COVID-19 vaccines from Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech and Novavax-Sanofi for the 2026–27 season, clearing the way for doses to begin shipping to pharmacies and doctors’ offices nationwide. The updated shots target the XFG variant, which FDA advisers identified as the preferred strain for this season’s vaccines. As with last year, the approvals are limited to higher-risk groups: adults 65 and older, and younger people with at least one underlying condition that raises their risk of severe COVID-19, rather than the general population
