Two Louisiana brothers have been charged with allegedly helping funnel $1.7 million to Hamas through online fundraising campaigns presented as humanitarian aid for Gaza, federal prosecutors said. Abdel and Omar Adhami allegedly transferred tens of thousands of dollars to Saleem Alzaq, whom prosecutors identify as a Hamas member. The investigation was aided by the NYPD, after Alzaq allegedly contacted an undercover NYPD detective on Snapchat in November 2025 and later discussed arranging money transfers.
