🛡️ RAFAEL EYES VOLKSWAGEN PLANT FOR GERMAN DEFENSE PRODUCTION: Rafael, the German state of Lower Saxony and Aurelius Capital signed a letter of intent to potentially take over Volkswagen’s Osnabrück plant after vehicle production ends in 2027 and convert it into a defense manufacturing hub. The site would produce Iron Dome support equipment, military vehicles, launchers, generators and related hardware in Germany, but not Tamir interceptor missiles. The deal is not final and still requires negotiations and regulatory approvals, but could support future German and European defense production and a possible German Iron Dome purchase.
