🇪🇬 EGYPT'S SISI SAYS HIS PRESIDENCY WILL END IN 2030: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who has ruled since 2014, said Saturday that his term ends in 2030, calling the matter "completely settled," and said the constitution will not be changed. Constitutional amendments approved in 2019 extended presidential terms to six years and allowed him to seek a third term, which he won in 2023. Speaking at a graduation ceremony at the Egyptian Military Academy, Sisi also outlined a plan under which PhD holders would undergo 30 months of training at the academy to prepare for future leadership roles, from ministries and governorates to potentially the presidency.
