🌊🚢 WATCH: NOR’EASTER UNCOVERS 142-YEAR-OLD SHIPWRECK: Powerful waves from this weekend’s nor’easter exposed wooden wreckage buried beneath the sand on Nantucket’s south shore, believed to be part of the Warren Sawyer, a three-masted schooner that ran aground in 1884 while carrying cotton and scrap iron from New Orleans to Boston. Pieces of the same wreck were previously uncovered in the area in 2022 and 2023.
