🇮🇱🏥 Israeli doctors at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa are testing a groundbreaking non-invasive ultrasound therapy developed by NINA Medical. The LOTUS-1 system uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) delivered externally to destroy obstructive prostate tissue in men with enlarged prostate (BH), without incisions, catheters, or hospitalization. The 20-30 minute outpatient procedure could significantly improve quality of life for millions while minimizing risks and side effects of traditional treatments. Early safety trials are underway.
