Orthodox groups have opened a fund to handle the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit which will bring new resources to yeshivos and to ease the tuition burden on families. The Opportunity Fund for Jewish Education was launched by the OU and partner organizations and endorsed by Agudah and Torah Umesorah. Beginning Jan. 1, eligible taxpayers can contribute and receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit of up to $1,700.
