Chavivim Volunteers Go the Extra Mile, Not Once, But Twice, to Help a Fellow Yid!* When Chavivim received a call on Monday from a Yid stranded in Ship Bottom, NJ, nearly an hour from Lakewood, after his electric vehicle ran out of battery, two dedicated volunteers picked up the organization's mobile EV charger and made the long trip to assist him. However, upon arriving, they discovered another problem: the driver had also lost his car key! Unable to safely charge the vehicle inside the enclosed garage or move it, the volunteers arranged for him to contact a car key specialist. Yesterday, after the driver obtained a replacement key, two Chavivim volunteers once again picked up the mobile charger and made the lengthy round trip back to Ship Bottom, this time successfully providing enough power for the driver to reach a charging station.
