Hate crimes against Jews are being recorded separately as antisemitic by the Crown Prosecution Service for the first time. The change took effect in May but has only now emerged, allowing prosecutions and their outcomes to be tracked separately from wider racial and religious hate crimes. Anti-Muslim offences are also being recorded separately.
