A cross-party group of MPs is calling for the real bearskin caps worn by the King’s Guard to be replaced with fake fur. The 18 MPs and one peer say using Canadian bear pelts is “impossible to justify” and have urged the Ministry of Defence to stop ordering them while a suitable alternative is developed.
