*LA Households Can Get Up To $600 Just For Keeping Their Car Parked* LOS ANGELES — LA Metro is offering households across Los Angeles County up to $600 to leave one of their cars parked for five weeks as part of its expanded “One Car Challenge.” Participants can earn up to $120 per week by reducing use of one household vehicle and instead using options such as Metro, walking, biking or carpooling. The program is designed to test whether financial incentives can get Angelenos to drive less and help reduce LA’s notorious traffic congestion.
