Major Progress On West Hollywood Sinkhole Repairs — Roads Remain Closed Crews are making significant progress repairing the massive water-main break and sinkhole that damaged streets near Sunset Boulevard, Holloway Drive and Palm Avenue in West Hollywood last Thursday. LADWP crews have been working around the clock and have now installed a new 25-foot section of the damaged 36-inch water main. Crews are continuing excavation, checking for additional leaks, and must complete testing and disinfection before backfilling the area and repaving the damaged streets. Unfortunately, officials say there is still no firm date for when the affected roads will fully reopen. Even after the pipe repair is completed, significant street and sidewalk restoration will still be necessary before traffic can safely return
