PCH Gridlocked; 101 Is the Better Option for Malibu Pacific Coast Highway is currently gridlocked, with traffic at a near standstill in several areas. If you're heading to Malibu, you're likely better off taking the 101 Freeway and using Kanan Dume Road or Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon Road to reach the coast. Those routes are currently the best alternatives to avoid the severe delays on PCH. If possible, avoid PCH until traffic conditions improve.
