Verizon Service Restored Across San Fernando Valley Following Major Outage Verizon service has been restored across the San Fernando Valley following Sunday’s widespread multi day outage that left many customers without cellular and internet service for hours. Verizon says the Southern California outage was caused by vandals cutting multiple fiber-optic cables. Service was restored Sunday evening, with customers once again able to make calls, send texts and access data.
