Viral Video Purports To Show Delivery Robot Driving Off San Diego Pier, But Authenticity Is Questioned Autonomous food delivery robots have become a familiar sight across Los Angeles, rolling along sidewalks delivering meals from many restaurants, including a growing number of kosher establishments. A viral video circulating online appears to show one of the robots driving off a pier into the ocean in San Diego. While the clip has been widely shared, its authenticity has not been independently verified, and many online viewers have questioned whether it may have been created or altered using AI. Whether real or not, the video highlights just how common autonomous delivery robots have become across Southern California. As the technology continues to expand, the occasional mishap—or viral moment—is likely to keep making headlines.
