*101 Freeway Closures This Week for World's Largest Wildlife Crossing* Drivers who use the 101 Freeway through Agoura Hills should plan ahead this week. Caltrans is closing the northbound Liberty Canyon Road on-ramp to the 101 daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. through Friday as construction continues on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing. The massive project, which spans the 101, is expected to become the largest wildlife crossing in the world, creating a safe passage for mountain lions, deer, bobcats, coyotes, and other animals between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Simi Hills while reducing wildlife-vehicle collisions. Construction is expected to continue into late 2026. If your commute takes you through the area during the daytime, allow extra travel time or consider an alternate route.
