UPDATE: The man who climbed to the top of an arch on the 6th Street Bridge has been safely brought down and taken into LAPD custody after an approximately four-hour standoff. No injuries were reported The incident had shut down traffic across the bridge between Boyle Heights and the Arts District and contributed to major congestion around the 101 and 5 freeways. As of the latest confirmed update at 1:41 p.m. there has not been an official confirmation that the bridge and all affected routes have fully reopened yet.
