*Big Rig Fire, Second Crash Bring 210 Freeway Traffic to a Crawl Friday Morning* LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE — Drivers are facing a difficult Friday morning commute on the westbound 210 Freeway after a semi-truck carrying hay caught fire near Angeles Crest Highway. The fire was reported shortly after 3 a.m., prompting the closure of multiple westbound lanes while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and crews cleared burned hay and debris from the roadway. Traffic was reduced to just one lane at one point. Adding to the morning mess, a second crash was reported on the 210 near Foothill Boulevard, further impacting traffic and adding to delays through the area. It’s been a rough week on the 210, following Wednesday’s crashes that caused major backups and disruptions along the freeway through the foothill communities. Motorists traveling west through La Cañada Flintridge and surrounding areas should expect lingering delays as the morning commute continues.
