BMW X5 Stolen Overnight From South Formosa Avenue A BMW X5 was stolen overnight from the 200 block of South Formosa Avenue in the Hancock Park area. According to information provided to LA Scoop, the thieves apparently discovered the vehicle's GPS tracking device, ripped it off and discarded it on the street. The tracker was later found several blocks away, while the BMW itself remains missing. The incident is another reminder for residents not to rely solely on a vehicle's tracking system, as experienced car thieves may quickly search for and disable tracking devices. Anyone in the neighborhood with doorbell or security-camera footage from overnight is encouraged to review it for anything suspicious that could help identify the vehicle or those responsible.
