Verizon Service Restored Across San Fernando Valley Following Major Outage Verizon service has been restored across the San Fernando Valley following multi day outage that left many customers without cellular and internet service. Verizon says the Southern California outage was caused by vandals cutting multiple fiber-optic cables. Service was finally restored Sunday evening by 7:30PM with customers once again able to make calls, send texts and access data.
