The Nazis murdered nearly his entire family. He survived Auschwitz and lived to 107. Yehuda Widawski survived the Łódź Ghetto, Auschwitz, and a selection by Josef Mengele. His parents and older brother were murdered, but Yehuda survived alongside his younger brother. After the Holocaust, he made aliyah and built a new life in Israel. His family would eventually grow to five generations. But he never forgot those who didn’t survive. For decades, Yehuda returned to Poland, working to locate, document, and restore thousands of forgotten Jewish graves and burial sites. “My revenge against the Nazis is that they lost, and we have the State of Israel.” Yehuda Widawski, Israel’s oldest Holocaust survivor, passed away at 107, leaving behind the Jewish life the Nazis tried and failed to destroy. May his memory be a blessing. _Join Meaningful Minute_ https://chat.whatsapp.com/CknDJXt5goQ7wntsuecmQk
