TAKEOFF ABORTED AT PHILADELPHIA! American Airlines Flight AA5522, a flight to Toronto Pearson (YYZ), was forced to abort its takeoff on Saturday, October 10, after the crew spotted debris on Runway 09L at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)! The pilots quickly brought the aircraft to a safe stop and alerted air traffic control. Controllers then guided the plane off the runway via a taxiway while airport ground crews inspected and cleared the debris. Remarkably, the aircraft returned to the departure runway and took off approximately 15 minutes later, completing the flight to Toronto without further incident. No injuries were reported.
