Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has departed Tehran for New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly and address world leaders. Footage shows Pezeshkian receiving an official farewell from First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref and an honour guard before boarding his aircraft. Iranian officials say the United States denied visas to several members of Pezeshkian’s delegation, including his media team, while the core delegation, including Pezeshkian and Araghchi, was granted entry. Washington had not publicly commented on the visa denial claims at the time of publication.
