The Shin Bet and Israel Police arrested Muhammad Awad, a 29-year-old Israeli citizen from Nazareth, on suspicion of seeking to join Hamas and obtain resources for terrorist activity. Authorities say Awad planned an attack against National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The suspect was working as an unarmed security guard at the Afula Central Bus Station. A man entrusted with public safety was allegedly trying to enlist in Hamas and target an Israeli minister.
