A highly unusual White House meeting is reportedly being planned between President Donald Trump and several prominent Rabbonim and Rebbes ahead of Rosh Hashanah. According to reports, the gathering is expected to include the Satmar Rebbes, Skverer Rebbe, Bobover Rebbe, Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey and Rav Malkiel Kotler. One major issue expected to come up is the ongoing controversy surrounding the draft of yeshiva students in Israel. • Why did Trump specifically invite these Rabbonim? • Will the Israeli draft issue be formally raised? • What message will the Rabbonim bring to the President? • Will all of the invited Rabbonim actually attend? • Could this meeting have any impact on the draft situation in Israel?
