JUST IN: President Trump Signs Executive Order Calling For Changes To Childhood Vaccinations Schedule President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order directing the federal government to pursue significant changes to the nation’s childhood vaccination recommendations, including separating combination vaccines and spacing out shots over multiple medical visits. The order calls for the measles, mumps and rubella, or MMR, vaccine to be administered as three separate shots when individual vaccines become available in the United States. It also recommends that, to the greatest extent feasible, childhood immunizations be administered at separate medical appointments rather than together. In a statement, the White House said the order is intended to promote greater parental choice and improve vaccine research. It directs the Department of Health and Human Services to reassess the timing and sequencing of childhood vaccines and advance additional research into vaccines and autism.
