Critically Injured Pedestrian Airlifted to Jersey Shore Hospital After Manchester Crash A 43-year-old man from the Whiting section of Manchester was airlifted to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday night at an intersection in Manchester Township, police say. Manchester Township police were called to County Route 530 and Swift Circle in the Whiting section of the township at about 9:37 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Officers arriving at the scene found a gray 2013 Toyota Camry with front-end damage and the pedestrian, identified as Richard J.
