Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has announced that care workers who arrived before May 2025 and earn at least £25,000 will keep their five-year path to settlement, rather than face a fifteen-year wait. The Home Secretary told MPs that some workers who failed to meet their visa conditions will be offered a fresh five-year care visa.
